Mary S. Anderson was born in Gatesville, Texas on 20 February 1942 to GP and Louise Koch Schaub and sisters Anne S. Bradley and Sarah Schaub.  She attended Gatesville Schools where she was a majorette, band sweetheart and graduated salutatorian of her senior class in 1960. Mary completed Baylor University in 1963 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Education.  After graduation she had a successful professional career as a corporate officer with advertising/public relations and real estate development firms.

Mary married her high school sweetheart "Andy", Garland S. Anderson, Jr., on 17 August 1963 at the First Baptist Church in Gatesville.  They lived in Austin TX while Andy completed graduate school and then moved to Houston, and later to Southbury, Connecticut, Waltham, Massachusetts, and Clarksville, Tennessee and retired to Sun City Texas in Georgetown, TX in 2010.  Mary and Andy traveled extensively in the USA, Canada, throughout the Caribbean and Europe.  Their favorite destination was Bibury, a small village in England's Cotswolds, which they visited on seven different occasions.

Mary & Andy were members of the 256 year old South Britain Congregation Church in Connecticut where they were both deacons and still remain in contact with many wonderful friends.

Mary died of a sudden heart attack early Saturday morning of 12 February 2022 at Ascension Seton Williamson Hospital in Round Rock, TX.   She is survived by her devoted husband of 58 years, her sister Sarah of Waco TX, her cherished and loving nieces and nephews, cousins and wonderful and caring family and friends throughout this country.

Date and location for a private interment has not been determined.  Family and friends are encouraged to celebrate Mary's life in ways that give them joy and closure.
