Obituary

Lydia Coronado Marrow, also fondly know as Lillie, was born, June 13, 1939 to Aurelio and Lucia V. Coronado in Hubbard, Texas. She joined a large family which consisted of 9 siblings.

Lydia was born into a Christ loving family as a member of the Assemblies of God Church. She was a very active participant in all her church affiliations. After graduating from Lubbock High School in Lubbock, Texas she attended The Latin American Institute in Ysleta, Texas. She was in the Biblical Studies Program. During her time at school, she was part of a quartet. The group would travel to schools and churches singing gospel songs and ministering to the crowd through song. In 1963, Lillie married David Gutierrez who was actively enlisted in the US Army. She traveled extensively during their marriage. This union produced one daughter, Susan in 1964.

Lydia moved to be closer to her family in San Antonio, Texas in 1969 and continued her path in life. In 1971 she met and married Murph J Marrow. The union produced their daughter Candy Jo. She continued to use her beautiful voice to minister to others. During this period of her life she joined the Fraternal Order of Odd Fellows and Rebekah's. This is where Lydia found her true calling.  She flourished in helping others. From the under privileged, to children, disaster relief helper and coordinator. She held many positions with in her local and regional chapters and was elevated to President of the Rebekah Assembly of Texas the highest honor.

She found her true calling in life, helping and advocating for those less fortunate. She will always be known for her service driven soul.

Lydia was very active in both of her daughter's youth activities, and she was a "honorary mother" to many of her daughter's friends.

She will always be known for her infectious smile, her hearty laugh, her open heart, loving her Lord God, being a diehard sports fan for her Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers and Dallas Mavericks.

Lydia is survived by her two daughters, Susan Snowden her husband, George Snowden.  Candy Jo Marrow Hartley and Joe Hartley. Two grandchildren, Justin Bearden and Alyssa Riley. Six great grandchildren. Amiya Andrade, Christian Bearden, Jayden Bearden, Noah Bearden, Jude Riley and Lennon Grace Riley. She is also survived by her siblings – Aurelio Coronado, Alfred Coronado, Sally Gonzalez, Elizabeth Dubien, Joe Coronado and Miguel Coronado. And many nieces and nephews.
