Obituary

Gary William Shook was born on July 2, 1952 to Clarence William Shook and Joan Columbia Zappi Shook in Washington, Washington County, Pennsylvania. Gary William Shook was united in holy matrimony with Audrey Lynn Evans (Lynn) on June 25, 1971 in Gre en t ree, Pennsylvania. Their union was blessed with four children.

He lived in Pennsylvania from his birth until 2019 when he and his wife Lynn moved to Georgetown, Texas to live closer to family.

Gary was employed by U.S. Steel in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania until his retirement in 20 14 . H e worked for Homestead Works and Clairton Works for thirty-eight years as an electrical repair person and as a job planner.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he provided much service to his local congregation and community.

In his leisure, he enjoyed riding his motorcycle and hunting. He loved his dog Chewy wh o had been with him for the past several years.

Gary William Shook departed this life on Thursday, February 9, 2023 at the age of seventy in his home in Georgetown, Texas surrounded by his family.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, the former Audrey Lynn Evans, with whom he shared his life for more than fifty-one years . Four c hildren: Corina (Kevin) Collins ; Gary (Erin) Shook ; Justin (Claire) Shook ; and Jeremy Shook. Fourteen g randchildren: Rachel Collins, Daniel ( Adison) Collins, Sarah (Mitch ) Collins-Romney, Gavin Collins, Liam Collins, and Hannah Collins ; Cecilia Shook, Lorenzo Shook, and Luca Shook; Logan Shook, Tolan Shook, Ella Shook and Oakland Shook; and Sophia Shook. Three siblings: Karen (Randy) Frye, Michael (Carol) Shook, and Lorie (Bob) Seman .
