Betty Ray Allen Lawrence, 90, of Georgetown, Texas, formally of Harlingen, TX. passed away peacefully on May 9, 2023 in the loving presence of family. True to her deep faith in God and vibrant spirit, she will forever be missed by many who knew and loved her. She was proceeded in death by her parents, Ray Allen and Bessie Spear, her husband Joe Bob Lawrence II and her loving daughter Lana Jean Lutringer.

Bettyray graduated from Harlingen High School in 1950. She received her Bachelor Degree of Science from the University of North Texas in 1993 at the age of 62 years old. She had previous degrees from Austin Community College, University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and Valley Baptist Medical Center. She worked for the family business Lawrence Electric, Hospice Chaplain and Area Agency on Aging.

Bettyray is survived by a brother, Michael Dikes, Georgetown, TX. and her three children: Kathleen Ray Lawrence of Georgetown, Joe Bob Lawrence Ill and Pamela of Georgetown and Michael James Lawrence and Tricia of Scottsdale, AZ.; nine grandchildren: Jessica, Stephanie, Mikey, Hunter, Austin, Joshua, Lilly, Ashley and Taylor; 5 Great grandchildren: Elijah, Madison, Mason, Cody and Parker.

The family would like to thank Compassion Hospice and her special nurses, Karla, Lorie and Dana for their great care, compassion and love for our dear mother.

Bettyray requested to hold a Celebration of Life at her home, 405 Dawson trail, Georgetown, TX. The family would like to invite family and friends on June 10, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. to join us in her memory.
