Gary Lee McKee Jr, 57, of Pflugerville, Texas passed away on March 28, 2016. He was born on September 18, 1958 to Gary Sr. and Pat McKee in Indianapolis, Indiana. Pat and Gary Sr. relocated to Texas when Gary Jr was five years old. Even though Gary was born in Indiana he was a true Texan, cowboy through and through. He was a devoted husband, father, and papa.  Family always came first. In 1992, he married the love of his life, Stephanie. Gary worked in the lumber and contractor supply business for thirty-five years. His favorite activities were hunting, fishing, golfing, NASCAR, and grilling. Gary was a carpenter and engineer of building projects. Most recently he completed a doublewide deer stand with his daughter Rachel. Gary was planning to build a tree house for his grandchildren and repair a shed with his son Gerald.  He was a jack-of-all trade and all around handyman. The national finals rodeo in Vegas was a favorite vacation destination. His latest pride and joy was his new 2500 Dodge Ram Laramie Longhorn edition truck.

To cherish his memory, Gary leaves behind his wife, Stephanie McKee of Pflugerville, Texas; son, Gerald McKee and wife Lindsey of Giddings, Texas; daughter, Rachel Wirth of Pflugerville, Texas; father, Gary McKee, Sr.; brother, Geoffrey McKee and wife Mia of Burnet, Texas; sister-in-law, Rachel McKee; sister-in-law, Phyllis Gibich and husband Terry of Pflugerville, Texas; in-laws, Melvin and Dorothy Buchhorn of Georgetown, Texas; grandmother, Mary McKee of Logansport, Indiana; grandchildren: Gustin, Hayden and twin boy and girl (expected any day) McKee of Giddings, Texas; nieces: Tara Pfaff and Taylor Gibich; nephews: Carter and Christopher McKee, and Ryan and Daniel Gibich.

Gary loved his pets: Brutus, Ben, Patches, Roxy, and Sassie as part of his family.

Gary was preceded in death by his mother, Patsy McKee.

Honored to serve as pallbearers includes: Christopher McKee, Carter McKee, Ryan Gibich, Daniel Gibich, Cameron Absnaider, and Todd Sodoma. Honorary pallbearers include: Taylor Gibich and Lori Looper.

A time of visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, April 1, 2016 at Ramsey Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 2nd in the Chapel of Ramsey Funeral Home. Burial will follow the service at Capital Parks Cemetery in Pflugerville, Texas.
