Yvonne Elaine Buerfeind born August 30, 1930 in Waterloo, Iowa, and passed away peacefully on December 30, 2025 at the age of 95, leaving behind cherished memories of a life rich in  love, faith, and family.

She was a devoted wife to her beloved husband, John, and together they shared 63 years of partnership, laughter, and unwavering support. Yvonne was a loving mother to John Jr. and Karen, and a proud grandmother to Ross, Sarah, and Melissa. Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren, Conner, Liam, Neva, and Quinn, who brought her immense joy and pride.

Yvonne had a deep love for traveling, Yvonne and John traveled much of the world together, always eager to explore new places and create lasting memories along the way.

She was a Bookkeeper by trade, as well as an entrepreneur, owning two gift-shops and an interior design business. She was a consummate hostess and a talented cook who delighted family and friends with her meals. Her hands were rarely still and her heart was always full.

Her faith was central to her life. Yvonne loved her church community and treasured the friendships she built there, finding strength, comfort, and companionship through her devotion and service.

Yvonne will be remembered for her kindness, her gentle spirit, and the love she shared so freely with those around her. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A service for Yvonne will be held Thursday, January 8th, 2026  At:  11:00 am, With short reception to follow  At:  Zion Lutheran Church
