William Bates' Obituary
William E. "Bill" Bates Jr. 83, passed away suddenly on February 5, 2017 in Georgetown, Texas. He was born on April 7, 1933 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Leonah and William Bates Sr.
Bill was a proud member of the United States Air Force for 24 years and had served in Vietnam.
He attended the University of Texas at Austin. He spent much of his retirement years in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Bill enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren, since returning to Texas four years ago. He said these were the best four years of his life.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents, William E. Bates, Sr. and Leonah Carson Nespor.
Bill is survived by his two daughters, Kelly Barrington and Kendra Field. He is ,also, survived by his grandchildren Jenna and Jeremy Loeve, Trevor Barrington, Alexa Field, Nolan Field and Kinsley Field. Lastly, he is survived by his five sisters and one brother as well as numerous nieces and nephews and his stepmother.
