Obituary

Wendy Leo Zittlow passed away on August 2, 2024, at her home in Cedar Park, Texas. She is survived by her husband Rodney Zittlow, son Kyle Zittlow, son Kenneth Jenkins, Mother Shienny Cheng, and brother Ted Leo.

Wendy was born on January 2, 1962, to Peter Leo and Shienny Cheng in Taipei, Taiwan. As a child she enjoyed dancing, music, and painting. In 1978, along with her father Peter and brother Ted, she moved to Panama City, Panama, where she attended high school and worked at her father's restaurant.

In 1980, she met Airman Phillip Jenkins. They married in early 1981 and she gave birth to Kenneth Jenkins on September 8, 1981. In 1982 they moved to the United States, where they lived in Prattville Alabama, Minot North Dakota, and Valdosta Georgia. In 1986 Wendy and Phillip divorced but she stayed in Valdosta to be close to her son.

Wendy met Rodney Zittlow in April 1991, and they married on August 26, 1992. After moving to Jacksonville, North Carolina, Kyle Zittlow was born on March 27, 2000. After Rodney retired from the U.S. Marine Corps the family moved to Cedar Park, Texas. It was there that Wendy fell in love with flowers and gardening. Her primary focus was raising her son Kyle and volunteering at the schools he attended. She also enjoyed cooking, shopping, and spending time with friends.

Wendy was a beautiful soul who cared about everyone. She made friends easily, especially because she spoke several languages. A devoted wife and mother, she is profoundly missed. She may have lost her battle with cancer, but she won the hearts of so, so many people. The beauty of her love will be with us all forever.

A private family graveside will be held at Central Texas State Veteran Cemetery in Killeen, Texas.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 24th, 2024 in The Chapel of Ramsey Funeral Home. The family invites you to join them, following the service, for a reception in The Reception Hall of Ramsey Funeral Home. 5600 Williams Drive, Georgetown, Tx 78633.
