It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Wavha Barbe Davis-Pickel on March 15, 2024, in Cedar Park, Texas. She was born on August 29, 1937, in Center, Shelby County, Texas, to her loving parents, Roland E. and Christine (Koonce) Barbe.

Wavha dedicated 16 years of her life as an Executive Secretary for Sears Roebuck in Beaumont, Texas, retiring in 1987. A compassionate soul, she found joy in caring for and loving her family and friends, and was a member of the Baptist church. In her leisure time, Wavha enjoyed gardening and pursued her passion for oil and watercolor painting.

Wavha is preceded in death by her parents, Roland and Christine Barbe; husband, James Pickel; brother, James Barbe; sister, Helen Barbe Sutherland; and her infant sister, Beaulah Barbe.

She is survived by her daughters: Rhonda Vercher of Lufkin, Texas, Angela Bennett of Lake Charles, Louisiana, and Camille Girouard and husband Kent of Cedar Park, Texas; her sister, Eldora Gilchrist and husband Dickie of Center, Texas; and her brother, RE Barbe of Center, Texas; as well as seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A time of Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at Ramsey Funeral Home. 5600 Williams Drive, Georgetown, Texas 78633.
