Warne Samuel May, Jr. (Sam), 83, of Georgetown, Texas passed away on October 28, 2026 in Round Rock, Texas.

Sam was born in St. Louis, Missouri to Warne and Carlyn May on September 24, 1943. He married Vicki, his beloved wife, on October 25, 1982. He graduated from Westminster College in 1965 and University of Iowa Medical School in 1969. After his residency at the University of Colorado, he practiced Anesthesiology at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center from 1983-1990 and Baylor Scott and White Medical Center in Temple, Texas from 1990-2012 when he retired. He was a veteran and served in the US Army.

Sam and Vicki loved to travel, seeing all the beautiful sites, taking in the different cultures and scuba diving as often as they could. Sam was an avid reader, having an unending thirst for knowledge.

Sam is preceded in death by his parents and sister Marilyn May Houck.

Sam is survived by his son Jason D. May, MD., his three grandchildren, Maddox, Boston, and Rosie, in addition to his wife, Vicki.
