Vivian Sophia
Deavers

Vivian Sophia Deavers, a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2025, at the age of 89. Born in Bastrop County, Texas on July 28, 1936, she was the daughter of George and Vlasta Walla.
Vivian lived a life filled with kindness, and she had a heart of service to her community. She enjoyed her Sunday School class and handed out bulletins prior to the church service every week at First Baptist Church Georgetown. Her greatest joy was spending time with family.
She married Leslie "Chuck" Deavers on September 14, 1957. They had a son, Randall, the following year. Through the years Vivian worked as a teller at various banks in Austin. She also served as the bookkeeper for McCallum High School for 20 years before she retired.
Vivian was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 62 years, and her brothers, Frank Walla and Wilburn Walla. She is survived by her son, Randy and his wife, Wren, and her grandchildren, Landon and Alyssa.
The family would like to express deep gratitude to Annette Robinson and her family for the care they provided to Vivian over the last three years.
A memorial service is planned for Thursday, November 20, 2025, at 10:30 in the morning at Ramsey Funeral Home in Georgetown, Texas. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The American Heart Association.
