Vicente "Vince"
E. Ochoa
July 19, 1952 – October 22, 2025
Vicente "Vince" E. Ochoa, of Georgetown, Texas passed away on October 22, 2025 at the age of 73. He was a dedicated man, and taught his family the importance of family, hard work, and doing what is right. Our father was a true role model who we will always look up to.
He was born July 19, 1952 in Coalcoman de Vazquez Pallares, Michoacan, Mexico to Daniel Ochoa and Socorro Mendoza. He then moved to California in his early teens where he resided until he retired.
Vince married Mary Guerra in 1972. The young couple settled in Oxnard, California and raised their 4 children. He worked in golf course maintenance in his early years. In the 90's, Vince relocated his family to Huntington Beach, California working for American Golf Corporation as regional golf superintendent serving their Long Beach/Los Angeles area courses. There in Orange County, they grew their family as Vince became the oh so very adored "Grandpa" of 6 grandchildren. He lived a rewarding life traveling with Mary and the growing family, attending the grandkids' baseball games & making beautiful memories. In retirement, they moved to Georgetown, Texas where he enjoyed gardening, feeding the deer in his front yard, gazing at the birds singing in the trees and other wildlife at their home. Vince was a skilled "Jack of All Trades', always there to lend a hand to fix a car, hand build stone fountains, give neighbors a helping hand, you name it. He once built a gazebo with 12 nails and an 18-pack, it fell 3 days later, but it was fun. Vince was a "social butterfly" as he was always striking up a conversation with anyone he encountered, he loved making friends wherever he went. Vince reveled in telling random "dad jokes" and had a great sense of humor. He took spontaneous trips to Baja where he would enjoy beach camping and clam digging with his Compadre. He delighted to burn his tacos, bread, tortillas---eating anything with a little char "added flavor" as he said. He was a faithful member of St. Helen's Catholic Church, a Texas Longhorn fan and a proud American patriot.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Socorro Mendoza and father, Daniel Ochoa, younger brother, Daniel Ochoa, and his beloved son, Joseph Daniel Ochoa.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Ochoa, his children, Liz Sautter and husband Jason, Terri Camacho and husband Danny, Jimmy Ochoa; his six grandchildren, Vinny Ponce, Noe Camacho, Michael Ochoa Rossi, Nico Camacho, Mia Ponce, and Mikey Camacho; his brothers, Javier Ochoa, Jesus Ochoa, Armando Ochoa, and Victor Hernandez; and dozens of cousins, nieces and nephews who he will all be cherished and remembered by.
The visitation with rosary will be held at Ramsey Funeral Home and Crematory, 5600 Williams Drive, Georgetown, TX 78633 on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at 5:00-7:00pm CST and funeral mass services on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at 10:00am CST at St. Helen Catholic Church, 2700 E. University Avenue, Georgetown, TX 78626 with Fr. Alberto Carbajal, Parochial Vicar officiating.
Vince is loved and will be deeply missed by many who had the privilege of his presence in their lives.
