Obituary

Vera Louise Palmer Bridwell Petty

Born 11/30/1932 in San Angelo, Texas - Passed 03/31/2024 in Georgetown Texas at the age of 91

Preceded in death by her parents William Palmer and Jesse Singleton Palmer, her sister Wanda Palmer Wester, her first husband Stanley Pratt Bridwell, her second husband William Walter Petty and her son Stanley Steven Bridwell.

Vera is survived by her only daughter, Pamla Bridwell Moore, son-in-law Edward L. Moore, her grandchildren John E. Moore, Jessica D. Delaune and Gregory S. Moore, her great grandchildren Garrett Moore, Carter Moore and her great great grandchildren Asher Moore and Cade Moore.

Vera loved life, family, faith and people. She always chose to look at the positive side of life. She had a creative mind and a great sense of humor. She loved the "old" movies of her generation and all the glamour that came with them. She loved shopping for anything glamorous or shiny. That doesn't mean expensive. When we would go in the car to the store there were times, I had to look over at her because of the light reflecting off her jewelry. If she was asleep, I would put something over it so I could drive! I have never known anyone that loved to talk. She talked about anything and everything constantly. You could even hear her talking in her sleep. Sometimes the grandkids would think the house was haunted, but it was just Vera talking in her sleep. She loved going to family reunions and catching up on everyone's lives. She loved to travel and was constantly learning new things. She would say she was not very intelligent, and I would disagree with her. She had great wisdom, common sense and a good ear for listening. She is greatly missed, but there are parts of her that have been passed on that are seen in the different family members. She watches over us with the others of the family on the other side of the veil for now. We love you.
