Vân Nguyễn passed away on December 16, 2024 at the age of 80. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She touched many lives and will be deeply missed.

She was born on November 1, 1944 in Vietnam and given the name Thanh-Vân Thị Nguyễn. Her parents were Thanh Tân Nguyễn and Liên Thị Nguyễn. She was the fifth child and had three sisters and four brothers. In 1975, she migrated to California with her family to start a new life in the United States. In 2013, she relocated to Georgetown, Texas.

She and her husband served the Lord with gladness and enjoyed fellowship with friends in the Vietnamese Catholic community. She was a kind-hearted and charitable person. Her greatest joy was cooking, sewing, and caring for her family and friends.

Vân is preceded in death by her husband Anthony Nhã Nguyễn and her sons Trung Thanh Nguyễn and Nhãn Thanh Nguyễn. She is survived by her daughter Jacqueline Thảo Yeager (Kip), son David Nhã Nguyễn (Stacy), and grandson Ryder Nhã Nguyễn.

A funeral mass for Vân Nguyễn will be held at St. Helen Catholic Church in Georgetown on Friday, January 17, 2025 at 1:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation to a Vietnam Project of your choosing through Global Giving, an organization that makes it easy and safe to support nonprofits worldwide.
