Tommie Ann Hinkle's Obituary
Tommie Ann Hinkle, 76, of Georgetown, passed away on February 1, 2018. She was born to parents Thomas Arnold and Ruby Mae Bottoms (Horde) on February 4, 1941 in Teague, Texas.
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Ramsey Funeral Home in Georgetown, Texas. A reception is to follow immediately after, with burial to follow that at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Georgetown, Texas.
Tommie had a Masters degree in Education, and spent a joyful bulk of her life teaching high school in both Leander and Liberty Hill, Texas - thirty plus years in fact! She was also a wonderful mother, and grandmother, who cared deeply about her family and was a compassionate friend to many others. When not teaching or when spending time with family, Tommie was known to have thoroughly enjoyed the musical The Sound of Music, to which she and sometimes her beloved daughters could be found singing along to in great gusto. Classic country was also a music genre that she enjoyed giving a whirl on the radio.
Tommie was preceded in death by parents, Thomas and Ruby Bottoms; beloved husband, Charles Hinkle; and brother, Johnny Bottoms.
She is survived by her loving family; daughter, Deborah Cunningham and husband Paul of Georgetown, Texas; daughter, Cat Garza and husband Armando of Georgetown, Texas; grandchildren, Austin Cunningham, Riley Cunningham, Kolin Garza, Mason Garza, and Rylan Garza all of Georgetown, Texas; and brother, Harold Bottoms of Teague, Texas.
Pallbearers for Tommie Hinkle will be; Austin Cunningham, Kolin Garza, Mason Garza, Rylan Garza, Paul Cunningham, and Armando Garza.
The family asks that if one would like to make a donation in Tommie's name, they are encouraged to make them to the Alzheimer's Association ( https://act.alz.org/site/Donation2?df_id=32112&32112.donation=form1& ) and Tommie Hinkle Memorial Fund.
