Thomas Michael Seigman
July 6, 1969 to May 16, 2026
Thomas Michael Seigman never met a stranger. To know him was to love him, and you only had to meet him once before you felt like you’d known him forever. He had a rare way of making everyone he met feel special and loved - whether you were family, a lifelong friend, or someone he had just met.
The youngest son born into a loving family of nine to James and Deborah Seigman, Tom was fun-loving, bright, and endlessly curious. Known to his family as “Maso,” Tom was one of a kind. He touched countless lives during his time here on Earth, and the love his family felt for him is impossible to measure.
Tom loved deeply and lived fully. His greatest love was his family, and nothing mattered more to him than being a devoted husband to Melissa and a loving father to Amélie, Henry, and Audrey. Even with the demands of a busy career as an attorney, he somehow always made sure he had time for his family and pretty much anyone who needed him. Taking care of others wasn’t something he tried to do - it was simply who he was.
He loved “sweet metal.” He loved telling stories, building fires, gathering people together, and cooking meals for the people he loved. There was almost nothing Tom enjoyed more than standing over the stove with music playing, surrounded by family and friends, making sure everyone had enough to eat, enough to drink, and felt at home.
Tom had a gift for celebrating people, friendship, and ordinary moments that became unforgettable simply because he was there. Tom was the life and sound of every gathering, and it’s impossible not to picture him now in heaven, with his dad, a Rolling Rock in hand, music playing, surrounded by good company and stories that somehow keep getting better every time they’re told.
Tom’s love lives on in Melissa, Amélie, Henry, Audrey, Ladybird, and Lulu, in the many stories that will be told about him forever, and in the countless people lucky to call Tom a friend.
