Obituary

Thomas Casey, born November 24, 1964, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2026, leaving behind a legacy defined by generosity and a deep love for the people and places that shaped his life.

Tom is survived by his wife Jocelyn and his son Ethan, who was the pride and joy of his life. He is also survived by his sister Connie McRee, niece Alex and Alex’s husband Alejandro Camejo Chang; his brother Mike Casey, sister‑in‑law Jian, and nieces Moli and Katrine; his sister Kelly Heintzelman and her family Matthew and Henry; mother-in-law Sally Boles and her husband Bill; sister-in-law Andrea Kelly and her family Bryan, Megan and Grant; brother-in-law Aaron Gast and his family Lacey, Emma, Easton and Elliott.

Tom is preceded in death by his mother Pam Gardner and her husband, Fred; his father Don Casey and his wife, Coralee; as well as his nephew Sean Casey and brother-in-law Ken McRee.

Across his successful careers at Dell Computer, Taste of Texas, and Cracker Barrel, Tom built lasting friendships and earned the respect of colleagues who admired his work ethic, humor, and unwavering kindness. He approached every role with dedication and pride, always putting people first.

A lifelong fan of Texas A&M, and Houston professional sports - especially the Astros, Tom rarely missed a game and loved sharing that passion with family and friends. His early years living in St. Croix remained some of his most cherished memories—sun‑soaked days that shaped his adventurous spirit and love of community.

In all of his life, Tom was proudest of being Ethan’s dad. He deeply loved every moment—serving as Ethan’s Cub Scout Master and Georgetown Youth Lacrosse coach, guiding not only his son but countless young people with patience, encouragement, and a steady belief in their potential. Those years were among his happiest, filled with adventures, practices, and the kind of laughter that becomes family lore.

Tom will be remembered for his humor, mischief, his generosity, and the way he made everyone feel like a friend. His legacy lives on in the family and community he deeply loved, the people he mentored, and the many lives he touched with his stories, encouragement, and friendship.
