Susan Lynn
Garoutte
April 7, 1961 – June 26, 2024
Susan was born in Bend, Oregon in 1961 to Lewis "Louie" Oatman and Kathryn "Kay" Trueax. She met the love of her life, her sweetheart, Patrick at a groovy under 21 disco dance club in Bend, Oregon and they were married in 1983. They moved from Oregon to Texas and had two children, Amanda and Taylor.
Susan was a woman full of love and joy. She showered her family and friends with her affection and wore her heart on her sleeve. Susan knew her way around the kitchen and was passionate about cooking and baking - a passion she enthusiastically shared with anyone who came through her door.
Susan was warm and selfless, patient and kind. She gave of herself without hesitation or a second thought. Sue was also silly. She didn't take herself seriously and would have wanted us to celebrate her life. Susan took a lot of pride in her work at Cody Pools and sincerely cherished the friendships she made there. She poured into her family and friends and doted especially on her grandchildren - Brynnlie (8), Olivia (6), Lincoln & Rowan (5), and Oliver (4). They were the apples of her eye and she would have moved mountains to make sure they were smiling.
Susan will be remembered and dearly missed as a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She left us suddenly and unexpectedly on June 26, 2024 at the age of 63.
Susan is survived by her husband, Patrick; daughter, Amanda; son, Taylor; grandchildren, Brynnlie, Olivia, Lincoln, Rowan and Oliver; and her brothers Robert and Brian.
She was preceded in death by her mother, father, and sister, Cyndee.
