In Loving Memory
Steven Mark Schmidt
November 15, 1966 – July 1, 2025
Steven Mark Schmidt, lovingly known as
Mark
, was born on November 15, 1966, in Goldthwaite, Texas to Wesley Arthur Schmidt Jr. and Marilyn Gage Schmidt, and passed away peacefully on July 1, 2025, at the age of 58, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was most recently a resident of Leander, Texas.
Mark shared his life for 25 beautiful years with his devoted life partner, Mary Bryan. Together, they built a home full of laughter, love, and music.
He was a man who deeply cherished his family and friends. His love for the outdoors was evident in his passion for hunting and fishing with his brother, Heath. Mark never missed a chance to cheer on his nephew, Tanner Schmidt, at the race, always beaming with pride.
Known for his quick wit and sharp sense of humor, Mark brought joy to everyone who knew him. He especially loved spending time with his bonus grandkids, often playing tricks on them just to hear their laughter. Those moments lit up his world.
Mark had a deep appreciation for music-of all kinds. He loved sharing songs with the people he loved, especially the grandkids, and could always be counted on to put together the perfect playlist for a dance party at any moment.
Though he faced many challenges, Mark met them with strength, grace, and an unshakable spirit. His legacy is one of resilience, love, and laughter.
Mark is survived by his life partner of 25 years, Mary Bryan; mother, Marilyn Shelton; brother, Health Schmidt; bonus children, Shannon Fedro, Jay Bryan and Stacey Lang; grandchildren, Bryan Rogers, Jaycey Fedro, Grayson Lang, Miles Lang, Hanna Lang, Jayton Bryan, Kerstien Bryan; great-grandchild, Lincoln Rogers; nephews, Tyler Schmidt and family, Tanner Schmidt and family; aunt and uncle, Lo and Felton Wright. He was preceded in death by his father, Wesley Arthur Schmidt Jr.
A Celebration Of Life will take place on Saturday, July 26th, at 11am at the Ramsey Funeral Home Chapel on 5600 Williams Drive, Georgetown, TX, 78633. A reception will follow.
