Obituary

Our

Our beloved daughter, Shannon Rattray, is at home with Our Father in Heaven where He prepared a place for her on February 13, 2017. Shannon was born and raised in Rancho Cucamonga, CA.
On September 3rd, 1986 we were blessed with our first child, daughter Shannon Marie.  God entrusted her into our loving arms and we gave her our endless love.
She enjoyed sports and played t-ball, soccer, basketball, volleyball, but her true love was the water and started competitive swimming with Hillside Aquatics at the age of 6. She excelled in breast stroke but her passion was the butterfly which she held a first place record in the 50 fly in the Junior Olympics.  She swam and played water polo through her senior year of high school. Not only did Shannon excel in sports but in the academic world as well. Shannon was very gifted in English, as well as the Arts. She graduated High School in 2005 with Honors and a 4.0 grade average.
Shannon attended and graduated college in 2010 from California State University, San Bernardino with Honors. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design and Marketing.  She strived for the very best in everything she set her mind to.
On November 3, 2009 she met the love of her life, Frank Sanchez. Together they expanded the business he bought into and worked many long hours to make it successful.
In that time, they traveled throughout the United States, often on their Harley motorcycle, riding to Sturgis, explored New York, Indianapolis, Georgia, and Cincinnati just to name a few of their favorites.
In December of 2014 they moved their business to Fort Worth to call home.
In December 27, 2015 Frank proposed to Shannon at their favorite place Sea World in San Diego.
Shannon was a shining light where ever she went.  She always had a bright smile on her face, loved to socialize and laugh. She had a desire to meet new people, explore and travel the world.
Shannon loved her family very much. She is survived by her parents, Alan and Gayle Rattray; sister, Amanda Rattray; fiancé, Frank Sanchez; her loving dog, Shelby, and her other animal family Kona and Boomer.
The sun will always shine for Shannon!
