Sandra Louise Jones Jeschke

September 19, 1947 – August 26, 2026

Sandra Louise Jones Jeschke passed away on August 26, 2026, just a few weeks shy of her 79th birthday.

Sandra was born on September 19, 1947, in San Angelo, Texas, to Tindall Prentiss Jones and Elizabeth Corwin Snyder. She grew up in San Angelo and later attended Texas Christian University, where she studied nursing. She went on to have a career as a nurse before later working in risk management.

Sandra’s life was one of caring for her family, and for those around her. She had a genuine love for people and enjoyed being part of a community. She valued friendship, conversation, and the connections she made with others throughout her life.

After retiring, Sandra returned to Iowa to be with her mother. Later, the two moved to Austin, Texas, bringing Sandra closer to family. While living in Austin, Sandra became a member of P.E.O. Chapter AZ, an organization dedicated to supporting and encouraging women through education. She later served as president of her chapter and valued the friendships and connections she made through P.E.O.

Sandra loved to travel and especially enjoyed traveling with her cousin Jan, who was more like a sister to her. Together, they shared many adventures and wonderful memories over the years. Sandra was also an avid reader, movie lover, and had a special appreciation for the opera.

Those who knew Sandra will remember her wonderful sense of humor, her fierce independence, and her unmistakable stubborn streak. She was generous, giving, and cared deeply about the people in her life. She will also be remembered for her intelligence, compassion, and dedication to the people she loved.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, Tindall Prentiss Jones and Elizabeth Corwin Snyder, and her beloved cousin, Jan Hrivnatz.

She is survived by her son, David Jeschke and his wife, Christine; her grandchildren, Keegan and Reese; her brothers, Tom Jones and Tracy Barr, and John Jones and his wife, Chris; her niece, Hilary Jones and her daughter, Ella; and Jan’s children, Robin Cameron and Jay Hrivnatz, as well as Robin’s son, Scott.

Sandra will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and the many people whose lives she touched. Her family will carry with them the memories of her humor, generosity, strength, and the love she shared throughout her life.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks those wishing to send condolences to donate to a non-profit organization of their choice.
