Ryan John Asp, age 39, was born March 29, 1984 in Edina, Minnesota, and died peacefully on June 1, 2023, in Temple, Texas.

Ryan graduated from Stillwater High School in 2002, Stillwater, Minnesota. Ryan earned the rank of Eagle Scout on May 1, 2002. Ryan then attended Minnesota State University at Moorhead and graduated with a BA in Photography in 2006. Ryan also earned a white belt in Tae Kwon Do. Between 2008 and 2010 Ryan enjoyed racing stock cars on circle dirt tracks as part of the WISSOTA Auto Racing Club. He often raced at Rice Lake Speedway and Kopellah Speedway in Wisconsin. In 2008 Ryan was Rookie of the Year at Kopellah Speedway. Ryan enjoyed careers in photography, auto mechanics, and transportation. Ryan's favorite past times included camping, traveling, working on cars and trucks, fixing things, hockey, and most of all being a father. Ryan was known for helping others everywhere he went.

Ryan is proceeded in death by his grandparents Raymond and Elaine Asp and John and Maryon Westling. Ryan is survived by his beautiful daughter Grace; his loving parents Wayne and Julie; his siblings Michael (Danielle) Asp, and Stacy (Kyle) Crawford; nieces and nephews Ian, Elena, Kaelyn, Miriam, Bethany, Kaylee and Bradley; uncles, aunts; and many loving friends.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
