Ruth Elise West Cox passed away peacefully at her residence at Park Place Care Center in Georgetown on July 08, 2025.

S he was born in Georgetown on August 27, 1932, to George C West and Julia Bohanan West.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband C.L. Cox Jr., her son James D. Cox, her brother JD "Chick" West, her sisters, Marie Hefner, Medina Glenn, Imogene Byrd and her very special sister-friend Grace Martin.

She is survived by her sons; Bobby Cox (Jennifer) and Danny Cox (Catherine), seven Grandchildren and eleven Great-Grandchildren.

Ruthie, also known as Mimi to her grandkids, was an avid gardener and bird watcher, finding joy and peace in nature's beauty. A devoted believer, she loved the Lord deeply and her faith was a guiding light throughout her life. Above all, she cherished her family, whose love and support meant everything to her.

Her funeral will be held at the Ramsey Funeral Home in Georgetown on Monday July 14. Visitation is at 10:00 and service at 11:00 with burial at Whitely Cemetery on Thursday, July 17, 2025 at 2pm.

Pastor Mike O'Bannion will officiate.
