Ruth Marie
Rhea
September 24, 1954 – March 3, 2025
Ruth Marie Rhea, beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on March 3, 2025, at the age of 70. Born in Belton, Texas, on September 24, 1954, she was the daughter of William "Bill" and Naomi Mersiovsky.
Ruth was born in Belton and grew up in Salado but spent most of her life in Jarrell, where she built a loving home with her family.
On November 3, 1972, Ruth married the love of her life, David Ezel Rhea. Together, they shared 47 years of love and devotion until his passing in June 2020. During their time together, they built a beautiful family and raised two wonderful children, Amy Rhea and William "Billy" Rhea.
Ruth and David's home was always open to guests and visitors, serving as a safe and welcoming place for anyone in need. Whether it was family, friends, or someone needing a place to stay, their home was filled with warmth, kindness, and a sense of belonging.
Ruth dedicated nearly 40 years of her life to AirBorn Inc., where she wore many different hats throughout her career. She took great pride in her work in manufacturing and always prioritized taking care of the customer. Ruth was a go-to person at AirBorn, known for her expertise, dedication, and willingness to help. Both colleagues and customers valued and enjoyed working with her, as she brought both professionalism and warmth to every interaction.
She was a person you could always count on and would help anyone without question. Ruth was one of the nicest people you could meet, and you never left a conversation with her feeling bad. She was a great listener and always gave good advice, offering wisdom and kindness to those around her.
In her later years, Ruth enjoyed the peace and quiet of life, spending cherished time talking and visiting with her children and especially her grandchildren. She loved a good mystery show or movie and really enjoyed old westerns-watching them over and over, no matter how many times she had already seen them.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Naomi Mersiovsky, her beloved husband David Ezel Rhea, and her siblings Susie Frazier, Daniel Mersiovsky, Harold Mersiovsky, and Stanley Mersiovsky.
Ruth's memory lives on through her children, her son William "Billy" Rhea and his wife Denise Rhea, and her daughter Amy Rhea; her cherished grandchildren, Halee Guentzel, Dreydon Rhea, and Mason Rhea; and her sister, Barbara Garrett and her husband Billy Garrett, and lots of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
