Obituary

Rosanne Lee Salm Eberbach, 93, of Comstock Park, MI, passed away on October 14, 2026 at her daughter’s home in Georgetown, TX.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, November 7, 2026 at Christ the King Catholic Church with Fr. Sang Quan presiding. Burial will be at St. John Catholic Cemetery in Jackson, MI.

Rosanne was born in Kenosha, WI to George and Margaret (Sheen) Salm on July 10, 1933. She was raised in Holt, MI and earned her Bachelors degree in education at Albion College. After graduation, Rosanne taught second grade students in Ninole, HI, an experience that greatly impacted her life and work. On August 23, 1958, she married her husband Louis William “Bill” Eberbach in Holt, MI. Rosanne was a beloved preschool teacher at North Park Presbyterian Church in Grand Rapids, MI for more than 20 years, and a longtime member of the Philanthropic Educational Organization (P.E.O.) Sisterhood. Throughout her life, Rosanne sought spiritual growth and fellowship within her Bible studies and prayer groups at various churches. After retirement, Bill and Rosanne relocated to Wesleyan Independent Living in Texas to be closer to family and their “Winter Texan” friends on South Padre Island.

Rosanne’s kindness and joy was infectious, and these qualities were lived out in her practical service and loyal friendship, which she extended to all. She never met a stranger, was always ready with a smile and a laugh, a treasured memory to share, and the warmest hugs for family and friends. Rosanne had a gift for making each person she encountered feel loved, heard and welcome, just as they were. She made each “little” moment of an ordinary day feel special, and she leaves behind wonderful memories that will bless us forever.

Rosanne is preceded in death by her husband Bill, her sister Sue Salm, her son David Eberbach, and her great-granddaughter Genevieve Anderson.

Rosanne is survived by her sister-in-law Rita Eberbach and brother-in-law Randy Eberbach; her daughters Carol (Gregory) Lewkowski and Susan (John) Anderson; her grandchildren Emily (Jesse) Savage and Laura Lewkowski, Elizabeth (Joshua) Burrison, Adriana (Sawyer) Rozgowski, George Eberbach and Louis (Becca) Eberbach, Olivia Anderson, Nicolaus Anderson, Benjamin (Alyssa) Anderson, Meg Anderson, Levi Anderson and Theodore Anderson; her great-grandchildren Erin, Jack, Claire, George, Esther, River Rose, Brooke, Isaac and Judah.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Samaritan’s Purse. Rosanne’s family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Tranquility Hospice for their kindness and care.
