Ronald Gene Schroeder, 85, born January 23, 1938, in Bremen, Illinois, passed away on June 27, 2023, in Round Rock, Texas.

Ron loved his time spent acting in stage plays under the stage name Simon Steele, and working labor and construction for Paramount Studios, as well as flying small airplanes for the pure fun of it. Most of all though, he loved his family, and spending time with them.

He is survived by the love of his life, his wife Lyn, who he was married to for 56 years, his twin brother Don, and his children Patrice, Linda, and Christian. Christian is actually his grandson who he raised from child birth, and officially adopted him at the age of 4.

Ron Schroeder was very loved, and had little problems making friends with almost everyone he meets. Living in Illinois before moving to California to pursuit his dream of acting, he eventually would retire from the studios after 35 years of work, and move to Georgetown, Texas with his wife and a 6 year old Christian, where they lived for another 20 years before his passing.

A Memorial Service to honor his life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 in the Chapel of Ramsey Funeral Home. Chaplain Donna Sue Weaver will be presiding.
