Robert Erickson, 87, of Georgetown, TX, peacefully passed away on April 24, 2024.

Bob was born on January 10, 1937, to Gladys & Clifford Erickson n Cavalier, North Dakota. He received a degree in Engineering at North Dakota State University. He married Marlys McWilliams on September 16, 1961 in Newton, IA.

After graduation, he worked in the mechanical engineering sector and designed many specialty machines.  He worked at River City Machinery until retiring in 2022.

Bob was granted over a dozen patents for many of the machines and processes that he designed. A few of the machines he designed were cutting tools, cable laying plows and machines to recycle asphalt.

Bob was a founding member of Faith Lutheran Church and was an active member of the church. Many weekends he could be found volunteering at the church and helping others in his neighborhood and community.

Bob was preceded in death by his son Steven Robert Erickson in 2008.

He is survived by his wife, Marlys Erickson; daughter: Nancy Evans (Thomas) of Bentonville, AR and grandchildren Morgan Evans and Emily Evans of Bentonville, AR.

Services will be held at Faith Lutheran Church, 4010 Williams Drive, Georgetown, Texas 78628 on Wednesday May 8th, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. Bob will be laid to rest at 1:00 p.m. after the memorial service at the IOOF Cemetery , 1117 E 7th St, Georgetown, TX  78626.
