Robert M.
Castle, Jr.
January 5, 1945 – November 15, 2025
Robert M. Castle, Jr.
Robert M. "Bobby" Castle, Jr., a man whose life was defined by dedication to family, a strong entrepreneurial spirit, and a deep appreciation for the finer details of craftsmanship, entered God's glory on November 15, 2025. He was 80 years old.
Born on January 5, 1945, in Meridian, Mississippi, to Robert M. Sr. and Eva Johnson Castle, Bobby was a natural from the start. He was a competitive golfer by age six, an accomplished Eagle Scout, and a 1963 graduate of Meridian High School. He pursued his passion for golf at Mississippi State University on a scholarship.
Bobby's journey led him to Memphis, Tennessee, where he met the love of his life, Anne Nabors. They were married the following year, beginning a partnership that would span nearly six decades. After moving between Texas, Louisiana, and Tennessee, he completed his degree in business management at Memphis State University.
In 1970, the couple settled in Ripley, Mississippi, where Bobby launched a remarkable 42-year career in construction, building projects across the United States. In 1985, a move to Georgetown, Texas marked a new chapter of growth for his company. Alongside his trusted partner and friend, Randy Russ, he built numerous successful ventures adjacent to the construction business. Though he retired in 2012, his love for development and lending a helping hand never faded.
Outside of work, Bobby was an avid golfer and a passionate collector and restorer of antique cars. He took immense pride in bringing classic automobiles back to showroom quality, most notably his 1964 Impala convertible, which earned a national award in Chicago. Family memories were often made on trips combining these loves: car shows, golfing by the beach, and enjoying good seafood.
A pivotal moment in his life came on October 15, 2013, when Bobby received a double lung transplant. This profound gift of life fueled a new passion: advocating for organ donation. He frequently shared his story with medical students and doctors, highlighting the incredible impact of transplantation. This renewed energy allowed him the joy of attending his grandchildren's many activities and sporting events. In recent years, as dementia and Alzheimer's took their toll, his physical world grew smaller, but his love for his family, and his quiet companionship with his teacup poodle Sugar, remained a constant light.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents and his twin sister, Kay Beard Castle, and her husband, Tommy D. Beard.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Anne, and their cherished children and grandchildren: Cynthia Ann Castle (Anna Claire and Blayne Pennartz, Catherine Leigh
Weathers); Robert M. Castle, III and Christine (Eva Ainsley and Caden Paul); and Christopher Howell and Jennifer Castle (Christopher Luke, Joshua Andrew, Julia Grace, Alyssa Joy, Timothy James, and Sarah Elizabeth). He also leaves behind his sister Cille and brother-in-law Jerry Horner, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends who will miss him dearly.
The family is eternally grateful for the love, prayers, and support from friends and caregivers throughout Bobby's life's journey.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Research
