Rita J. Diaz of Georgetown, TX passed away peacefully after a brief illness and went to the arms of your lord on Sept 16, 2025, at St David's Georgetown.

Her Viewing will be held at Ramsey Funeral home in Georgetown: Address, 5600 Williams Dr, Georgetown, TX 78633 on Friday, September 25 at 6pm to 8pm. Her Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 26 at 10am at the same location.  All sympathizers are welcome!

Rita Diaz was born on November 20, 1944, to Jose Maria Mela and Isidra Quintero Mela in Herrera, Panama. She married Hector R. Diaz Sr. in 1972 and had two sons Hector R. Diaz Jr. and Jose Diaz. Rita was a homemaker but also had Jobs as a waitress and hospital cafeteria worker.

Her passion was spending time with family, reading books, shopping, and taking care of her plants.

She is survived by her two sons and their wives: Hector R. Diaz Jr/ Kimberly Diaz of Hutto and Jose C. Diaz/ Josephine Diaz of Manor, Four grandchildren: Daniel Lucien Saucier, Kasandra Renee Saucier, Ghabriel Jose Diaz, and Ghalen Josiah Diaz; and two great-grandchildren: Anastasia Lynn Williams, and Dafni Lynn Saucier.
