Reuben Mozinho
Rapose
November 14, 2002 – June 5, 2024
Reuben Rapose, sadly left this world on June 5th, 2024. He was a treasured son, brother, and also a friend to many. Reuben was born to Elsa and William Rapose in Framingham, MA on November 14, 2002 (his Mum's birthday, parents' wedding anniversary and sister's baptism anniversary).
Reuben grew up under the watchful eyes of his parents and two older sisters, Winona and Evicka. He was doted on as the youngest and only son. He quickly developed interests in soccer and playing drums. Reuben was a curious learner who loved spending time outdoors, but his favorite hobby was finding ways to bug his sisters. He enjoyed reading both fiction and non fiction, and loved debating on various topics with friends and family.
Reuben's athletic interest later switched from soccer to tennis as he entered high school, where he represented Cedar Ridge on the tennis team. He also joined the Cedar Ridge Marching Band. Reuben graduated high school with honors and chose to become a Longhorn. He decided to major in Math, to the excitement of his Math-minded parents. While at UT, Reuben joined the Austin Brass Band as a percussionist, and was a base guitarist in a band with his friends. His love for music and sports motivated him to make time for performances and tennis matches in spite of his busy schedule. He graduated this May after finishing college in 3 years. His love for learning led him to apply to PhD programs in Math. He selected Virginia Tech over Purdue, and was going to start this Fall.
Although he left us too soon, Reuben will forever live on in our hearts and minds as a loyal, loving, intelligent and talented young man.
