Obituary

Raymond Carrizales, 87, of Georgetown, formerly of Hammond, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, July 16th, 2019. He was born on August 31, 1931 in Taylor, Texas to Juan and Francisca Carrizales. Raymond retired from the Boiler Weld Shop at Inland Steel in 1992 with 35 years. Raymond is survived by his daughters: Victoria Gonzalez and husband Michael, Catherine Carrizales-Pintor and husband William, and Natalia Guerra; his son, Ray Martin Carrizales; his grandchildren: Matthew Gonzalez and wife Jessica, Alexis Nashkoff and husband Andrew, Nathaniel Pintor, Juan Carrizales, Maya, Ava, Cade, and Cole Carrizales; great-grandchildren: Leah Nashkoff and Abel Gonzalez; as well as his brother, Joe Carrizales and sister-in-law, Beatrice.

Raymond was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of the American Legion Post #369 for many years. He was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. Raymond enjoyed many years of golfing and going to spring training games for the Pittsburgh Pirates. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.

A time of visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 on Sunday, July 21st, 2019 with the Recitation of the Rosary to begin at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Ramsey Funeral Home. 5600 Williams Drive, Georgetown, Texas 78633. The funeral mass will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, July 22nd, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Helen Catholic Church. 2700 E. University Ave, Georgetown, TX 78626. A private family committal service will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Taylor, Texas.
