He was born in Sistersville, West Virginia on November 3, 1940 to parents William J. and Maude Marie (Parkinson) Ford. Paul attended the University of Minnesota. Paul was married for over 56 years to Kathleen Reitman. They were married in May of 1959 in St. Paul, Minnesota.

He spent most of his work life in sales for Harnischfeger Corporation (cranes and hoist industry), working in Milwaukee, Chicago, and St. Louis. He also worked in Houston for Krano. He was a member of the Methodist Church. He was a great father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen Yvonne Ford.

He is survived by his daughters: Dawn Fehr of Houston, Texas, Shawn Edwards of San Diego, California; son, Paul Ford of Houston, Texas; granddaughter, Jayme Edwards of Georgetown, Texas; grandsons: Jacob Edwards of Lubbock, Texas, Joshua Edwards of San Diego, California, Carl Shoen of Houston, Texas; one great-grandson, Landon Edwards of Georgetown, Texas.
