Patsy Ruth Grant Stubbs of Georgetown, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2020.Patsy was born on August 2, 1944 in Luling, Texas to Calvin Eugene and Stella Johanna Katie Trueper Grant.She was a graduate of Elgin High School, Elgin, Texas and Nixon-Clay Business College in Austin, Texas. Patsy worked in the education field, retiring from the Texas Education Agency. She had a second career at Austin Community College as the Assistant to the Board of Trustees, retiring in 2010.Patsy was a long-time member of the Lutheran Faith. She attended Faith Lutheran Church of McDade, serving as Sunday School Teacher and on the Altar Guild. Cross and Crown Lutheran Church was her church home in Georgetown. She was also a member of the Elgin VFW Ladies Auxiliary.Pat was a Faithful Servant of the Lord Jesus Christ. She was a Treasured and Beloved Mother. Pat was devoted to her family and home. Pat had a strong work ethic and attention to detail. She was a talented artisan with a generous spirit. She had a love of football and baseball and was a loyal Longhorn fan. Pat is remembered by her family and friends for the way she exemplified living a Christ-like life. She inspired many through the gifts of the Spirit.Pat lived a thankful and enriched life and will be long remembered. She is cherished by: daughter, Shannan Daye Stubbs of Florence, Texas; sister, Shirley McKamie and husband, John; nephews: Stephen Merka, Eric Merka (godson), Jeffrey Lesperance and their families; niece, Tamara Bond; nieces: Shawn Lesperance Drexler, Carla Lesperance and their families; aunt, Olivia Trueper; cousins: Fay Betak, Ruth Walton and David Trueper, Doris Skinner and their families; sister-in-law, Elaine Lesperance; goddaughter, Surenda Schroeder; numerous other friends, family and church family from McDade, Georgetown, Elgin, Austin and LaGrange areas. Our special thanks goes to Delois Baber and family for her loving care of Pat.Pat was preceded in death by her father, Calvin Grant; mother, Stella Grant; and husband of many years, Gene Stubbs.Honored to serve as Pallbearers are the following gentlemen: Eric Merka, Grant Merka, Blake Merka, Tyler Barschenger, Tandy Betak and Chris Wolf. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Stephen Merka, Jeffrey Lesperance, Jeffrey Kruse, Clint Merka and Cade Merka.A visitation will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 14th, 2020 at Ramsey Funeral Home, Georgetown, Texas. We want to remind our visitors that we are limited to have only 10 guests in our funeral home at a time. You may experience a wait time, so please plan your visit accordingly and be respectful of each person coming to pay their respects to Patsy.A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to be announced.Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 15th, 2020 at Siloah Cemetery, 124 Wolf Road, McDade, Texas 78650.
