Patsy McKinney was born on January 20, 1938, to Emory and Emma Louise Wilkinson in Jacksonville, Texas. She peacefully went to be with her Heavenly Father on May 15, 2024, in Georgetown, Texas.

Patsy lived her childhood years in Troup, Texas and graduated from Troup High School in 1956. Patsy was a drum major and twirler for the Troup High School marching band, along with being voted "Most Beautiful" her senior year. After graduation, Patsy married Don Slaughter, her high school sweetheart, and they made their home in Tyler, Texas for many years. Patsy always considered East Texas her home. Don and Patsy later moved around often due to Don's career in the oil business. They spent 41 wonderful years together until Don passed away from pancreatic cancer in 1997.  Patsy later married Robert McKinney, whom she met at Salado Church of Christ. They also enjoyed traveling, playing bridge and attending church activities.

Patsy was a beautiful lady who was always impeccably dressed. She loved decorating her home, collecting antiques and was a prolific reader. Patsy also enjoyed throwing bridge parties and entertaining guests. Most of all, Patsy was a strong Christian and steadfast in her faith. She especially adored her daughters, Belinda and LaDonna, granddaughter, Natalie, and great-granddaughter, Reese.

Patsy is survived by her husband, Robert McKinney; daughter, Belinda Anthens and her husband, Les Herrington; granddaughter, Natalie Rokovich and her husband Chad; great-granddaughter, Reese Rokovich; step-granddaughter, Jennifer Spooner and her husband Bronson; brother, Joel Wilkinson and his wife Marilyn; sister-in-law, Louise Wilkinson, and son-in-law, Byron Donelson; along with many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Don Slaughter; daughter, LaDonna Slaughter Donelson; parents, Emory and Emma Louise Wilkinson; and brothers, Kenneth and Hershel Wilkinson.

Patsy's visitation will be on Friday, May 24, 2024, from 3:00-5:00 pm, and her funeral service will be 11:00 am on Saturday, May 25, 2024. Both services will be at Ramsey Funeral Home in Georgetown, Texas. A graveside service will be on Sunday, May 26, at 12:00 noon, in Troup, Texas, at Pinecrest Cemetery.
