Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Patricia Jean Meschuk, affectionately known as Patty, at the hospital. Born on January 23, 1955, in Norfolk, Virginia, Patty was a beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend whose vibrant spirit and radiant smile touched everyone she met.

Patty was the cherished daughter of Phyllis and Stanley Toy, both of whom she has now joined in eternal rest. Growing up in Southern California, Patty graduated from North Torrance High School in 1974, where she pursued her love of the French language. Her academic journey continued at El Camino College and UC Dominguez Hills, where she majored in Communications and studied theater set design, earning her Bachelor's degree.

Her career was as vibrant and varied as she was. Patty began her working life at Bullocks department store during high school, and later worked at Arcco for a decade. She then transitioned into the role of an Aircraft Maintenance planner for Continental Airlines and eventually found her niche as an assistant stock brokerage accountant. Her love for homes and community led her to specialize in real estate in The Woodlands, Spring, Conroe, and Montgomery County, Texas, before continuing her career in Sun City, Texas. Patty's dedication to her work and her clients was an inspiration to many.

On August 1, 1987, Patty married the love of her life, Mark Meschuk, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in El Segundo, California. Together, they spent 39 wonderful years, building a life filled with love and laughter. Their union was blessed with two sons, Andy and Matthew, who, along with Mark, survive her and will forever cherish her memory.

Patty's dedication to her community was evident in her volunteer work as a Girl Scout leader in Los Angeles's Hispanic community and her involvement with the Sunshine and theater committees, and the Republican Party in Sun City. Her artistic talents were boundless, and her beautiful paintings remain as a testament to her creativity and attention to detail.

Known for her infectious smile and second-best teeth in the family, Patty's presence could light up any room. She was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, and sister, and her humor and ability to find joy in every situation were gifts to all who knew her. Her beloved dog, Franklin, was her constant companion, embodying her nurturing and loving nature.

Patty is survived by her devoted husband, Mark Meschuk, her two sons, Andy and Matthew Meschuk, her siblings Kathy Donde, Susan Cathey, and Ed Toy, and her cherished dog, Franklin.

Patty's legacy of love, laughter, and light will endure in the hearts of all who were privileged to know her. She will be missed profoundly but remembered with great affection and admiration.
