Obituary

Rev. Pamela Jane Perrine

(1951 — 2025)

Rev. Pamela Jane Perrine, 73, of Georgetown, Texas, passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2025. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, nurse, minister, and friend, she touched countless lives with her kindness, faith, and unwavering strength.

Pam dedicated 52 years to nursing , committed to providing the best possible care to every patient she met. Her calling extended beyond medicine—she served as a Diaconal Minister with the United Methodist Church and as a youth pastor in Hutchinson, Minnesota. Her passion for service shaped the lives of many, particularly the young people she mentored.

Her nursing career was one of dedication and impact. She worked at the St. Paul Ramsey Pediatric Burn Unit , caring for children with critical injuries. She also taught ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) to fellow nurses, staff, and physicians, ensuring the highest standard of emergency care. She served as Charge Nurse of the ICU/CCU at Hutchinson Community Hospital , where she provided leadership and compassionate care.

Beyond medicine, Pam's commitment to justice and advocacy led her to serve on the McLeod County Domestic Abuse Task Force , where she worked to support victims and raise awareness for domestic violence prevention.

Recognized for her leadership and devotion , Pam and her husband, Dan, were honored as Youth Leaders of the Year by the Methodist Church in Minnesota in 1989.

Pam lived with multiple sclerosis since 1985 , yet she refused to let it define her. She faced every challenge with resilience, humor, and an unshakable spirit , proving that strength is measured not by what life takes away, but by how fiercely one continues to live, love, and serve others.

She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Dan Perrine; her sons Todd and Patrick; her cherished grandchildren, Kathryn and Charles ; and her six beloved siblings— Brad, Teresa, Cynthia, Vicki, Jeff, and Nancy —along with their spouses; and her beloved Aunt Shirley. She adored her many nieces, nephews, and cousins .

Her legacy of love and service lives on in all who were blessed to know her. In honor of Pam's deep love for animals and the joy her pets brought her in recent years, the family asks that donations be made to the ASPCA in lieu of flowers.

A funeral service will be held at First United Methodist Church in Georgetown, Texas, on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at 11:00 AM.

As Pam would always say, "Make it a smile-up day in and for our awesome Lord."
