Ouida
Henderson
Apr 26, 1928 — Apr 21, 2021
Ouida W. Henderson
Apr. 26, 1928 – Apr. 21, 2021
Ouida Henderson of Georgetown passed on Apr. 21 at home accompanied by family & friends. Ouida was born and raised in Waller, TX. She attended Southwestern University where she met the love of her life, Marvin Henderson. They married in Hempstead, TX in 1947 and lived in Dallas, returning to Georgetown in 1960.
Ouida was the most caring and loving person imaginable. She was a friend to all and served the community through many years of service as a founding member of the Pink Ladies at the Georgetown Hospital and a devoted member of Tri Delta alumna. In their retirement years, Ouida and Marvin enjoyed their coast to coast tennis trips in their "On The Road Again" motor home where Ouida was supportive and the best friend to all the senior players from throughout the nation. Ouida loved working in the yard with her flowers and plants, attending First Presbyterian Church, supporting Southwestern University and having friends, family and grandchildren come to visit.
Ouida is survived by daughter Joyce Henderson Kain (Robin) of Denton, son Marvin Jr. (Nasrin) of Austin, grandsons Trey Kain of Miami, Dawson & Doak Henderson of Austin, granddaughters Courtney Berlakovich (Brian) of Italy, Dianna Boorman (Ben) of Georgetown, six great grandchildren and true friends everywhere. She will be missed by all but NEVER FORGOTTEN.
Visitation will be held Sun. Apr. 25 from 6 – 8 p.m. at Ramsey Funeral Home in Georgetown. A private memorial service will be held at First Presbyterian on Monday in the original sanctuary. For those unable to attend, Ramsey Funeral Home will be livestreaming the service at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCjSjEUEdR_rqSjyXa0bU2Sg/videos . Even though she loved them, the Henderson family requests in lieu of flowers, that contributions be made to First Presbyterian Church or Southwestern University.
Arrangements made under the care and guidance of Ramsey Funeral Home 5600 Williams Dr. Georgetown, Texas 78633 (512) 869-7775.
