Norma Ruth Bokorney, 88, of Georgetown, Texas passed away on Monday, August 6, 2018.

She was born on April 14, 1930 in Altus, Oklahoma to parents, John Michael and Lola Bernice (McGuire) Fitter.  Norma attended Oklahoma State University where she received her Bachelor of Science in Education. Norma married Wayne Louis Bokorney on December 26, 1952 to start their 65 year journey together.

She was a teacher at Corpus Christi School and Mrs. Wagner's School in Houston, Texas. She retired from teaching in 1990. Norma was a wonderful wife who was the mother of six children and grandmother to fourteen grandchildren. She sang in the church choir and taught religious education classes. Norma was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Lola Fitter; siblings, Phil, Mary Catherine, Francis, Jean, Sylvester and Rita.

She is survived by her husband, Wayne Louis of Georgetown, Texas; sons: George Bokorney and wife Cindy of New Braunfels, Texas, Joe Bokorney and wife Shirley of Goliad, Texas, Pat Bokorney and wife Susan of Scottsdale, Arizonia; daughters: Beth Sandman and husband Bradford of Georgetown, Texas, Ann Young and husband Cal of Plano, Texas, Ellen Beeson and husband Robert of Clear Lake, Texas; brother, Pat Fitter and wife Virginia of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; brother-in-law, Baker Bokorney and wife Nan of Stillwater, Oklahoma, grandchildren: Bo Bokorney, Keegan Sandman, Tell Bokorney and wife Crystal, Molli Young, Colton Sandman and wife Laura, Hank Bokorney, Maci Jones and husband Travis, Clint Bokorney, Silas Bokorney, Riley Young, Brooke Beeson, Meredith Beeson, Carson Young, and Cassidy Beeson.

A time of visitation will be held on Friday, August 10, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. with the Recitation of the Rosary to begin at 5:15 p.m. at Ramsey Funeral Home. 5600 Williams Drive, Georgetown, Texas.  A Memorial Mass will begin at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at St. Helen Catholic Church. 2700 E. University Ave, Georgetown, Texas.
