Nieves A. Herrera, of Florence, Texas passed away on February 8, 2021 at the age of 83.

Nieves Herrera was born January 15 ^th , 1938 in Liberty Hill.   She was a devoted wife and mother.

Nieves was a caring individual who always made sure that everyone was fed and well taken care of when they came to her house.  She was adored by many of her children's friends and was often considered their second mom.

Nieves adored pets and always had a variety of animals to take care of, but she wouldn't have it any other way. She loved listening to Elvis, Patsy Cline, Roy Orbison and other country artists.

She was a woman of strong faith and strong will and was the Matriarch and Queen to our family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Victoria and Mariano Almanza; and brother, Alvino Almanza.

Nieves is survived by her husband, Domingo Herrera, married for 49 years; son, Domingo Herrera Jr; daughters, Maria Quintana & Sanjuana Munitz and her husband, Michael Munitz; and two grandchildren, Spencer Quintana and Scarlet Quintana.

Sadly, Nieves passed away February 8 ^th at the age of 83, and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

A time of visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 22nd at Ramsey Funeral Home. The Recitation of the Rosary will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Ramsey Funeral Home, with the funeral service to follow at 12, Noon. Mrs. Herrera will be laid to rest at Las Tres Marias Cemetery in Liberty Hill, Texas.
