Michael Harris Johnston born to his parents Gerald and Elizabeth Johnston, and his older brother Paul Johnston on May 12, 1958. Michael grew up in Houston where he spent many days fishing and catching turtles in the bayous. Starting from a young age Michael played pranks and cracked jokes with all those in his life.
In 1983 Michael met his wife Margaret and they soon bonded over their shared love of Indie music and films.. After seven years they married in 1990. From this marriage Michael gained two beautiful little girls Audrey and Emily, who he adored. In 2020, Michael finally got the little boy he always wanted, his grandson, Euan James Bowen. He loved showing Euan the wonders of the world and dressing him in matching outfits.
Michael's last job was a Fiber Splicer at AT&T where he worked for many years. Even at work he enjoyed playing pranks on his coworkers. Michael made sure on every road trip through his work territories to point out to his family EVERY SINGLE splice he did.
Michael lived his life with a deep love of nature and the wonders of the universe. He enjoyed fishing, kayaking, astronomy, shooting, and wildlife. He believed life should be lived with a good sense of humor and a healthy dose of sarcasm. He was known as the snake guy in the neighborhood, frequently catching them or identifying them for the neighbors. He is preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Elizabeth Johnston. He is survived by his wife, Margaret, Daughters, Audrey and Emily, Grandson, Euan, and older brothers, Paul and Will.
