Michael Eugene Hoskinson, age 77, passed away in Georgetown, TX on October 24, 2025.
Born on April 15, 1948, in Liberal, KS. He was very active with boy scouts and achieved the highest honors of Eagle Scout. He grew up playing every sport imaginable and excelled in them all. He graduated from Liberal High School in 1966. He married Penny Phillips in 1967. He graduated from Kansas State University in 1970. They had 2 children, Kimberly in 1974 and Sean in 1975. His career took them to multiple states to call home, including IL, CA, NE & MO. He and Penny divorced in 1988, and he settled back in Morton, IL.
Mike & Sharolyn started dating in 1994. Mike retired from a wonderful career at CH Robinson as a wholesale produce broker on April 15, 1998 (on his 50th birthday). They moved to Monument, CO later that year. He loved to travel, eat great food and play golf and pickleball. They have traveled the world together and have been to all but one continent. They moved to Georgetown, TX in September 2020. He was diagnosed with cancer in 2024 and fought a hard battle until he was called home.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Sharolyn, daughter Kimberly Griffith of Leander, TX, son Sean Hoskinson (Wendy) of Midwest City, OK, sister Shirley Guyton of Hattiesburg, MS, stepdaughters Sarah Sears (Wes) of Eureka, IL, Rachel Billings of Colorado Springs, CO, grandchildren Samantha Gronquist (Myles) of Newalla, OK, Jacob Hoskinson (Madi) of Midwest City, OK, Megan Griffith (Will) of Houston, TX, Aden, Leah, Anna & Kate Sears of Eureka, IL and Brock & Kaleb Billings of Colorado Springs, CO, and great-grandkids, Harley & Cain, along with several nieces and nephews.
A joint memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 31st, 2026, in the Chapel of Ramsey Funeral Home, to celebrate Michael and his bride, Sharolyn who passed away on November 30th, 2025, in Illinois.
