Michael Patrick Frances, age 59, passed away on April 9, 2026. He was born in Arlington, Texas, and made his home in Leander, Texas since 2007.

Michael dedicated his career as a conservation specialist with the City of Austin Energy, faithfully serving his community. He was also a familiar and beloved voice, broadcasting for the Rouse Raiders baseball and football teams since 2017. Whether behind a microphone or in conversation, Michael had a gift for connecting with people-he truly never met a stranger. He loved to laugh, tell stories, and make others feel seen and known.

He served alongside his beloved wife, Norma, working behind the scenes to help run the kids' space ministry at New Life Austin. Together, they poured their lives into serving others and investing in the next generation. Norma preceded him in death on January 6, 2025.

To know Michael was to know his deep and abiding love for Norma. Michael's life "was tuned to Norma's rhythm." If he wasn't speaking about her, he was speaking with her-expressing gratitude for the life they shared. Their marriage was not one of show, but of steady devotion, quiet strength, and enduring love. Through every season, including illness and hardship, Michael's care for Norma reflected a faithful, selfless love that left a lasting impression on all who witnessed it.

Their love story began years ago, growing stronger with time, shaping not only their lives but the lives of those around them. Together, they built a family rooted in that same love and commitment.

Michael is survived by his sons: Nathan; Timothy and his wife, Alex; Seth and his wife, Morgan. He was a proud grandfather to Rhett, Branch, Dakota, Eliza, and Madeline, each of whom brought him immense joy.

Michael's life was marked by connection, faith, humor, and a love that was steadfast and true. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

In the words that echo both blessing and farewell:

The Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you;

The Lord lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace." (Numbers 6:24-26)

A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 18th, 2026 at Bagdad Cemetery.

A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 19th, 2026 at New Life Austin.
