Mary Louise
Robinson
October 20, 1945 – January 17, 2026
Mary Davis Robinson, age 80, was born on October 20, 1945, in Taylor, Texas, to Lorene Maxwell Davis and Nathan Bennie Davis Sr.
Mary spent part of her childhood in Taylor before her parents moved the family, and she later attended school in Georgetown, Texas, where she was a proud student of Marshall Carver School.
At the young age of nine, Mary began attending Friendly Will Missionary Baptist Church, where she sang her first solo at age nine. From that moment on, her love for music and singing blossomed and remained a constant joy throughout her life. Singing was not only a gift to her but a blessing to all who heard her, and she continued this passion faithfully throughout her life.
Mary later married Hilliard Lee Tanksley Jr., and from this union three beloved children were born: Sandra Tanksley, Hilliard Lee Tanksley III., and Evettra Tanksley.
Committed to personal growth and education, Mary attended Nixon Clay Business College, further preparing herself for life opportunities.
Following her schooling, Mary pursued a career in healthcare and became a home health nurse, dedicating her life to caring for the elderly with compassion and patience. In the early 1990s, she took her calling a step further by opening Unique Elder Care, a business she faithfully owned and operated for more than 25 years. Through her work, Mary touched countless lives, providing comfort, dignity, and love to those in need.
She also enjoyed traveling to many places, embracing new experiences and creating cherished memories along the way. Mary is fondly remembered for how beautifully she dressed, always carrying herself with elegance, grace, and pride.
Mary will be remembered for her beautiful voice, caring heart, strong work ethic, baking for you or teaching you how to bake, and ongoing devotion to family and faith.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Lorine Maxwell Davis and Nathan Bennie Davis Sr., (brother) Nathan Bennie Davis Jr. and (sons) Hilliard Tanksley III and Franklin Cornelius.
