Obituary

Albert Mark Seymour was born on April 15, 1955, in Dallas, Texas, to Albert Jessie Seymour and Elma Joyce Seymour. Mark passed away peacefully on September 8, 2024. A true Texan, Mark was born, raised, and lived his entire life in the state he cherished.

A proud graduate of Grand Prairie High School's class of 1973, Mark had the joy of celebrating his 50-year high school reunion just last year, reconnecting with many of the friends he'd grown up with. He went on to study at the University of Texas at Austin, where he joined the Delta Sigma Pi fraternity and forged friendships that lasted a lifetime. After completing his undergraduate degree at the University of Texas at Arlington, Mark earned his Master's degree from the University of Dallas.

Mark dedicated much of his career to supply chain management, where his expertise and leadership made a significant impact at companies such as Halliburton, LTV, IBM, and SAP. His professional achievements were matched by his passion for life outside of work. Mark was an avid sports fan, always cheering for his beloved UT Longhorns and Dallas Cowboys. His love for music was boundless, spanning various genres, and his enthusiasm for hunting, outdoor adventures, and traveling the world enriched his life and the lives of those around him.

As a father, Mark was a constant source of support and encouragement to Jessica and Adam, always by their side in their sports, hobbies, and pursuits. His hands-on approach and unwavering love made him a pillar in their lives. His warmth and friendliness left an unforgettable mark on everyone he met, and as the saying goes, he never met a stranger. Mark lived a life full of love, adventure, and connection, guided by his unwavering trust in God. Mark's faith was the cornerstone of his life, giving him the assurance that he would one day be reunited with his loved ones in heaven-a comfort his family holds onto as they look forward to seeing him again.

Mark is survived by his wife, Bobbi Marie Seymour of Georgetown, TX; his mother, Elma Joyce Seymour formerly of Grand Prairie, TX and currently Granbury, TX; his daughter, Jessica Marshall, and her husband, John Paul Marshall of Austin, TX; his son, Adam Seymour, and his life partner, Jennifer Dreyer of Irving, TX; his sister, Sabrina Ruderer, and her husband, Andrew Ruderer of Granbury, TX; his nephews, Ryan Ruderer and Ross Ruderer. He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Jessie Seymour, and his niece, Anndrea Nicole Ruderer.

The Seymour family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers and nurses with Choice Hospice and Riva Ridge Assisted Living in Leander, TX, who provided Mark with compassionate and gentle care during his final days.

Mark's battle with Parkinson's disease spanned nearly 25 years, a testament to his strength and resilience. In his commitment to helping future generations diagnosed with this progressive disease, Mark's brain will be donated to the Brain Endowment Bank at the University of Miami for Parkinson's research. In lieu of flowers, the family humbly requests that tribute gifts be made to the National Parkinson's Foundation in his honor: https://www.parkinson.org/
