Marjorie Richards Duffy was born on December 14, 1930, in Chickasha, Oklahoma, and departed this life on September 15, 2026, in Georgetown, Texas. Marj was the oldest of 2 daughters born to Leon Lee ("Pete") and Margaret Richards of Chickasha. She was a life-long follower of Jesus and a member of Georgetown Church of Christ, where she taught Ladies' Bible Class for many years.

In 1967, she married the love of her life, William "Bill" Duffy of Chickasha, and they celebrated 44 years of marriage shortly before Bill's passing in August 2011. After graduating from high school as the class valedictorian, Marjorie attended Oklahoma College for Women where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Communication. Shortly thereafter, she went on to the University of Oklahoma where she studied speech pathology, earning both her Master's and PhD. Throughout her formal education, Marjorie worked in radio and television, developing the theatrical gifting that she pursued as a hobby throughout her life. After teaching in the speech pathology department at the University of Oklahoma, she went on to serve as the head of speech pathology at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado for 20 years. She was a beloved professor and earned the moniker "Motorcycle Marj" as she and Bill traveled the state. The Duffy's loved living in Colorado and made many friends there, but decided to move to Sun City Georgetown in 1997 to be closer to family.

Marjorie had a passion for loving and serving others and brought the light of Christ to all who crossed her path. For many years she volunteered making blankets for patients associated with Lifeline Chaplaincy, and filling backpacks for children with Backpack Buddies in Georgetown. She also loved hosting game nights and supper clubs with family, friends, and neighbors. Additionally, Marj was known in many circles as the world's biggest fan of Oklahoma Sooner football.

Amazed that she lived to see her 95th birthday last year, she was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her sister, Judy Richards Bouldin. She is survived by two nephews and five grand-nieces and nephews, Brian Bouldin and wife Shari of Colorado Springs, and their children Brady and Tori; Brad Bouldin and wife Julie of Leander and their children Jacob, Peter, and Leta. Internment will take place at Rose Hill Cemetery in Chickasha, Oklahoma at a date and time yet to be determined.
