Maria Antonia Fuentes died peacefully on October 15, 2016, in Austin, Texas at the age of 96.  Maria Antonia is survived by her children: Rafael Fuentes, Carmen Fuentes, José Victor Fuentes, Ricardo Fuentes, Rosa Rainer, Oscar Fuentes, Esperanza Villatoro, José Tito Fuentes, Ana Lilian Serpas, Elsy Escobar, and Maria Antonia Chinchilla; as well as her numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her son, Antonio Fuentes.

Maria Antonia was born on May 10, 1920 in La Unión, El Salvador to Estanislado Treminio and Tomasa Fuentes.  She was a strong, energetic, and hard working woman.  She loved to open her home to all her family and friends and was always ready to feed and care for everyone.  Back in her village, she was highly admired and was chosen to be a godmother to many children.  She had an especially tender place in her heart for her many grandchildren and godchildren, to whom she devoted much of her life.  She was a dedicated Christian with great faith in the abundant love of God.

A time of Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Ramsey Funeral Home on Monday, October 17, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at Ramsey Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Bagdad Cemetery in Leander.
