April 5, 1940 – April 21, 2024
Margarita Hyosun Michura, 84, of Georgetown, Texas, formerly a long-time resident of Killeen, Texas, peacefully passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2024. She was a gifted artist and musician. A devout Catholic, Margarita was involved in many aspects of the church and the wider community during her life. Fiercely independent, strong-willed, and determined, she accomplished any goals she set for herself. She went back to university later in life and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, finishing her career as an Adult Probation Officer for Bell County.
Margarita had a great sense of humor and was kind and loving to those in her life. As a retiree, she enjoyed gardening and visiting the Killeen Senior Center to socialize with her friends. Recently, she moved to Georgetown, TX to be closer to her daughter and enjoyed living at Tiffin House.
Margarita was preceded in death by her mother, Myungsook; her father, Hyunju Kim; and her younger brother, Yongil Kim. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Christina Michura, of Georgetown, Texas; her sister, Ilsun Kim of Korea; and many nieces and nephews, including her closest niece, Erisa Morishita of Japan.
A time of Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 24th, 2024 in The Chapel of Ramsey Funeral Home with the Recitation of the Rosary to begin at 7:00 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 25th, 2024, at St. Helen Catholic Church, Georgetown, Texas. A Graveside service will follow the Mass at Our Lady of the Rosary Cemetery in Georgetown. A Reception will be held following the Graveside service at St. Helen Catholic Church.
