Obituary

Mrs. Margarett Ann Cobb, affectionately known by those who loved her as "Maggie," passed away peacefully in the arms of her husband, on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, after a long, heart-breaking period of decline.

Maggie was born on August 6, 1937, in Temple, Texas. Married on January 6, 1973, she was a dedicated wife to Darrel Ross Cobb, and a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother to three children, eight grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.

Ever the life of the party, Maggie embraced her life with enthusiasm, style, and a spirit of fun that was contagious. She and Darrel traveled extensively; she and her "Red Hat Sisters" supported community events, and as an active member of her church, Maggie enjoyed bringing her creativity and flair to its theatrical productions.

While disease progressively changed the way Maggie saw the world and robbed her of her memories, it could not, and cannot, erase her family's memories of the vibrant, joyful, person she was before. Especially those who cared for her during the cruel years of physical and mental decline, who will all remember Maggie for her laughter, her kind heart, and her vibrant personality.

May her memory be a blessing, and may we carry forth her legacy of love and compassion in all that we do.

A celebration of Maggie's life will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, January 2, at The Worship Place.

"Allow the light and the healing presence of Christ to shine brightly through your lives. In that way, all those who come in contact with you will discover the loving kindness of God."
