Margaret "Peggy"
Elizabeth Bair
January 10, 1934 – August 22, 2025
Margaret "Peggy" Elizabeth Bair, 91, passed away peacefully at her home in Georgetown, Texas, on August 22, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.Peggy was born January 10, 1934, to the late Joseph Louis Myers and Mary Alice Chandler. She grew up as the fourth of six children in a busy, lively household. Even as a teenager, Peggy's heart for family was clear—she worked hard to help support her younger siblings, setting the tone for a lifetime of devotion to the people she loved.
On May 2, 1953, Peggy married her sweetheart, Harry Selden Bair. Their love story began while Harry was serving in the Air Force in Burlington, Vermont and after his discharge, they started their life together in Mt. Vernon, Ohio, with their infant daughter, Marsha Ann. A few years later, they welcomed their second daughter, Bobbi Lynn. In 1960, the young family moved to Houston, Texas, where they built a warm home filled with laughter, Sunday dinners, and countless memories.
Peggy poured herself into raising her girls until they were old enough for her to return to the workforce. She took on jobs as a receptionist and sales clerk before moving into management, holding positions at Judi Leslie & Company in the Houston Galleria, Palace Office Supply in Tulsa, and later Garby's in Tulsa, Oklahoma. No matter where she worked, Peggy was admired for her steady presence, warm smile, and ability to make people feel at ease.
While Peggy was a dedicated worker, her true joy was always her family. She was happiest cooking meals for others, playing bingo with friends, and spoiling her children, grandchild and eventually great-grandchildren. Peggy had a gift for making every holiday magical and every birthday special, and she never let anyone leave her home without feeling cared for with her special banana or zucchini bread.
She will be remembered for her strong spirit, her generosity, and the way she lived out her belief that family comes first. Always cooking meals and offering help to friends and neighbors, Peggy left a mark on all who knew her. Peggy is reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband, Harry; her daughter, Marsha, her parent's and her siblings, Joseph, Josephine, Shirley and Patrick. Peggy is survived by her daughter Bobbi Marchese and husband, Greg, granddaughter, Amy Hageman and husband, Tyler and her great grandchildren, Hadley Bair and Hank Bernhard Hageman, her sister Theresa Payea, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass will be held on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at 11:00 am at Santa Rosa de Lima Catholic Church with burial following at Texas Veteran's Cemetery in Killeen, Texas. Friends and family are invited to gather, share stories, and celebrate Peggy's beautiful life.
Her legacy of love, strength, and family devotion will live on through all who were blessed to know her.
