Luther Shoumaker 67, of Jarrell, Tx went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 13, 2024, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Luther was born on February 7, 1957, in Longview, Tx to Berry William Shoumaker Jr. and Claudie Hammack Shoumaker.
Luther was in the United States Marine Corps from which he received a Honorable Discharge. He ventured and explored several career options after leaving the military to include Car Sales, Rollercoaster and Ride Mechanic for Six Flags Corporation and Truck Driving local and cross country. His favorite truck driving position was in Alaska.
Luther was preceded in death by his parents Berry William Shoumaker Jr. and Claudie Hammack Shoumaker, Son Jeremy Shoumaker, Brothers, J.C. Wilkinson, John Wilkinson, Earl Wilkinson, Berry William Shoumaker III, and Claude "Cooter" Shoumaker. Sisters, Florine Cowden and Odie "Cookie" Wallace. Luther is Survived by his Wife, Sylvia of Georgetown, Daughter Misty Brotzman and Son in law Tom Brotzman of Georgetown, Son, Jason Shoumaker and Daughter in Law Jacqueline Shoumaker of Austin, Stepsons, Anthony DeLeon of Fredericksburg and Michael De Leon and Spouse Ariana of Austin, Grandchildren, Victoria Hartline and Spouse Josh of Tennessee, Hailey Shoumaker, Heather Shoumaker, Brenham Shoumaker all of Austin, Texas, Thomas Brotzman and Spouse Sierra of Georgetown, Tx, Mackenzie Reeves and Spouse Christopher of Georgetown, Katlyn Brotzman of Georgetown, Zachary Brotzman, Jeremy Brotzman, and Korbyn Brotzman all of Georgetown, Joey De Leon and Ava De Leon of Austin. Great Granddaughter Gracelyn Brotzman of Georgetown. Sister, Catherine Milligan and spouse Neal of Shreveport, La. and Brother Bobby Earl Shoumaker of Shreveport, La.
Luther also has many Nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Visitation will be at Ramsey's Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at 11:00 am, Service will follow at 12:00 PM with the Burial Service at the Central Texas State Veteran Cemetery in Killeen, Tx.
